The Hotel Mattmarkblick stands freely in a sunny and quiet location in the center of Saas-Almagell. In the immediate vicinity are the small Almagellersee, the mini golf course and the children’s playground.

The mountain railroads and ski slopes can be reached in 2 minutes on foot. In 50 m distance is the village center, where you will find the bus stop Dorfplatz, the post office and grocery and sports stores. The most beautiful walking and hiking trails also start at the village square.

The ski areas of Saas-Fee and Saas-Grund can be reached comfortably by post bus in 10 minutes without changing. From Saas-Fee you can ski back to Saas-Almagell via the forest path.

Transfer bus terminal Saas-Fee to the mountain railroads with the Electrobus is included in the SaastalCard.

Take the train to Visp.

Directly in front of the station, take the post bus with direct destination Saas-Fee/Saas Valley. Travellers to Saas Almagell change in Saas Grund at the Postplatz stop. You will find our hotel in Saas-Almagell 50 metres from the Dorfplatz stop.

If you leave your luggage at your train stationbefore departure, we will be happy to collect it from the post office counter. This way you can travel comfortably without luggage.

The journey by public transport from Bern to Saas-Almagell takes about 2 hours, from Basel or Zurich about 3 hours.

By private car

Via Bern
on the motorway and road to Kandersteg to the car loading station, then by train to Goppenstein, then in direction Visp-Stalden-Saas.

Via Montreux
on the motorway to Sierre (Sierre), then on the cantonal road to Visp, then in the direction of the Saas Valley.

From eastern and central Switzerland
via the Furka and Grimsel passes (open from mid-June to the end of October). In winter, use the car transport through the Furka tunnel.
The Saas Valley road is also very passable in winter, but winter tyres are required.
